Live shows · CHRISTMAS
Every trip has an evening going spare. These 5 christmas shows are worth filling it with, priced and timed so you can decide in minutes and get on with the day.
Spend about two hours at the Hughes Brothers Theatre for a family-led Christmas production of harmonies, dancing, violin, handbells, humor, costumes, and a heartfelt Santa presentation focused on the meaning of Christmas.
“The show was really good. Loved the emphasis on Jesus. The handbells and violin numbers were excellent.”
Join Schwarzwald drag queen Betty BBQ for a 60 to 70-minute Christmas walk through Freiburg. Expect German-language comedy, city history, holiday gossip, mulled-wine mishaps, and plenty of sparkle. It is an adult show walk for groups of 20 to 60, not a standard sightseeing tour.
“Schöner Spaziergang durch das winterlich beleuchtete Freiburg mit Betty BBQ. Er/Sie konnte uns interessante Anekdoten über Freiburg erzählen und hat Stimmung in die Gruppe gebracht”
Spend an evening at Viva Blackpool with doors opening at 6pm for food and drinks, followed by a Christmas party show at about 8pm. Expect comedy, singers, dancers, festive songs, modern hits, and a lively disco-style finish. Admission is for over-16s only.
“Came to Blackpool for our Christmas do, and safe to say I was pleasently surprised. Entertainment was outstanding and a really good laugh. Staff were spot on and couldn't help enough. Would recommend.”
Cruise Berlin’s Spree for 150 minutes aboard the MS Audrey with drag queen Audrey Naline. Expect German-language comedy, Christmas songs, games, tree decorating, evening city views, and an optional €9 meal. The route includes central Berlin, Westhafen, and Charlottenburg.
“Im festlich geschmückten Salon der MS Audrey verbrachten wir , liebevoll umsorgt , eine fachkundig begleitete gute alte , wunderschöne Dampferfahrt 😃 Audrey , ließ die Zeit mit Unterhaltung, kleinen Spielen und Witz , der nie unter die Gürtellinie ging , wie im Fluge vergehen Danke für diesen schönen Abend”
Spend an evening at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House for a country Christmas concert featuring holiday favorites and artists such as Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, Lady A, and Chris Janson. You receive reserved seats, but your exact view depends on how early you book.
“This company ripped us off. We bought two tickets to a Christmas show on December 17 at 7 PM $151.50 and we arrived at 6:30 at the grand old Opry and there was no show there at 7 PM at all, we talked to an Employee leaving the Opry and he said we just finished a concert from this afternoon but there’s nothing going out here tonight. So we refuted the charges but they ripped us off. We were looking forward to a Nashville Christmas concert at the grand ole Opry. It was a big part of our trip to Nashville. Big disappointment.”
Pick a stage, a dinner table or a dance floor.
