Good comedy shows in Germany lose the front rows weeks ahead and the great ones sell out entirely. Below: the 15 to book early, what each ticket includes and how they differ.
Spend two hours at Berlin’s Quatsch Comedy Club, where a German host guides a changing quartet of comedy veterans and newcomers. Choose a seating category, exchange your voucher at the ticket counter, and arrive early for the best available seats. German is the only listed show language.
Join hosts such as Chris, Patrick, or Jana aboard the Floating Lounge at Eastern Comfort Hostelboat for 2.5 hours of English comedy. Doors open at 8pm, with a free shot, bar service, East Side Gallery views, and rotating open-mic acts. Friday shows feature darker material.
“Fantastic night with a great host and seven fantastic acts! At a loose end for our last night in Berlin we booked the Laughing Spree to fill a couple of hours, with low expectations… after all, this is a comedy show in Berlin! We were absolutely blown away, and laughed from the minute Chris took to the stage to start the night! Each act just got better and better, and the coziness of the venue just meant that the comics could feed off the energy of the crowd, which was great! Chris was a fantastic host, and really epitomises what comedy should be about, community, personality and genuine connection! Was…”
Spend two hours with German comedians at the St. Pauli Comedy Club, currently hosted at Reeperbahn Comedy Club on Reeperbahn 25 during renovation. Expect stand-up, improv, satire, and thematic nights in German, plus a welcome schnapps. The close room puts you near the stage.
“Wer Bock hat in einem völlig überfülltem lauten Keller schlechte Witze hören zu können ist hier genau richtig. Sorry es war einfach nur schlecht und ich war froh von der Bühne (ja ich musste auf der Bühne sitzen) während der Pause verschwinden zu können.”
Spend a relaxed Berlin evening at Cosmic Comedy, the city’s long-running English-language comedy club. Arrive at 19:00 for happy-hour drinks, enjoy vegetarian or vegan pizza at 20:15, then watch a rotating lineup at 21:00. Open-mic Thursdays and showcase nights Friday and Saturday offer different flavors of comedy.
“Great comedy. All acts were great. So funny!! Great pizza too. A grade. Really great atmosphere will come again if I ever come Berlin again.”
Spend two hours at Hamburg’s Quatsch Comedy Club aboard the Queen, near the Landungsbrücke and Elbphilharmonie. A host introduces four comedians, from established names to newcomers, in a changing German-language show with a 15-minute break. Bring ID and expect comedy for adults and older children.

“Wir hatten einen lustigen Abend bei guter Unterhaltung. Gern kommen wir immer wieder zu euch”
Spend two hours with international comedians tackling morbid, offensive, and uncomfortable subjects in English. Host Chris keeps the room warm and involved, while the bar, free welcome shot, and mix of experienced comics and newcomers make this a sociable Berlin night out for adults who enjoy very dark humor.
“The dark humor comedy show was a great experience. The comedians were so funny and I normally don’t like comedy shows, but I actually laughed out loud. Chris was a great host and definitely would go again!”
Join an English-language comedy night hosted by local performers such as Chris, Patrick, Pat, or Tyrone Stallone, depending on the date. Expect a free shot on entry, a bar, several comedians, audience interaction, and jokes about expat life, Berlin, and everyday culture. Shows last about 1.5 to 2 hours.
“We laughed so much, great energy, the host was funny too and got the audience involved.”
Spend about two and a half hours aboard The Floating Lounge in Friedrichshain, where host Chris Doering introduces several English-speaking comedians. Arrive for the 8 pm doors, enjoy a drink and a free shot, then watch the 9 pm show with views of the East Side Gallery from the Spree.
“Very Welcoming! Friendly, Funny and Amazing Host Chris gets everyone involved and everyone feeling welcome ❤️ Some laugh out loud moments 🤣🤣 and a really enjoyable night. Well worth the money and the time. One of my best nights out in Berlin. Nice intimate little venue on a Boat on the River and 5* to ALL involved and all the Acts who took part! Me and my Son are still chuckling to ourselves today as little memories of some of the things we heard flood back into our minds! ✌️😀 Great night! Will definitely be going back again next time in Berlin 💛❤️💚”

“Great show, cool host, nice interactive crowd work. Overall fun🙏🥳🥳 we loved it”

Join the Quatsch Comedy Club Berlin every Saturday at 22:15 for a German-language late-night show with one presenter and three changing comedians. Choose a seating category, arrive early for the best available table, and enjoy uncensored stand-up before heading into Berlin’s night.
