Start at Chocolates Kaokao with coffee, cacao samples, and your own chocolate bar. Then visit a Mayan cultural stop for tortillas, sauces, tequila, and a garden before finishing with tacos at a local family restaurant. Guides may include Adolfo, Guillermo, Memo, Nancy, or Jafet.
“Adolf was very friendly and informative. At the chocolate making Jafet was very knowledgeable about the chocolate making processes. He showed how it's harvested and cured. He toasted the beans and we were able to grind and mix in sugar and chili. Then molded it and were able to take it home. Adolfo knew the neighborhood well and where to get the best tacos. We had a variety of tacos to choose from. We chose to skip tequila tasting to do some shopping.”
