At THE SUMO HALL HIRAKUZA OSAKA, a rakugo storyteller hosts a one-hour show explaining sumo customs, rules, and techniques before former professional wrestlers perform lively demonstration bouts. Your ticket can include a bento or snack and drink, followed by a commemorative photo.

Spend two hours at Osaka Comedy Club with an English-speaking host and an international lineup of comedians. Expect four comics on many nights, light audience participation, Japanese culture jokes, and a small bar setting where drinks cost extra. Check the website for current show details.

At Osaka Cultural Center, TRAinnovation presents an energetic Japanese music show built around taiko, shamisen, shakuhachi, shinobue, and computer music. You will see a 180 cm drum, enjoy visual effects, and may be invited to play one song onstage. The show is in Japanese and costs $40.
